Christmas Catering

It’s that magical time of the year again! We love Christmas here at R&V and have put together some useful tips for planning your perfect festive soiree.

Timing – If you are planning your office party, opt to go for a Friday night after work rather than mid-week or risk staff not turning into work the following morning! There will always be a risk of no-shows from people with prior commitments so throw some potential dates around the office earlier in the year to set a day in stone.

Know your budget – finding out the maximum your company is willing to pay for your Christmas party or pre-holiday meeting will make your life a lot easier from the get-go. If the budget it small, prioritise costs like food and drink rather than spending most of your budget on decorations!

Food – avoid added stress by choosing an easy food menu, like a Christmas buffet, with lots of options to cater for a range of dietary requirements. Cold buffets are incredibly popular as you don’t have to worry about keeping everything hot if event timings run over and there will be lots of varied options for attendees to pick and choose what they fancy.

If you are struggling to obtain a full list of dietary requirements for your event, try to include vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, halal and dairy free options to avoid disappointment. Make sure to provide allergen and ingredients labels!

Drink – whether you are planning an alcohol free pre-Christmas meeting or a boozy festive party, drinks are one of the most important elements!

Be sure to always have water available and hot drinks to warm everyone up from the inevitably cold weather outside.

Christmas parties are a great way to wind down after a busy year so having a good amount of alcohol on offer to help staff get into that festive spirit will always go down well with your team! Include the standard beer, wine and fizz, as well as maybe some more festive options like mulled wine, Bailey’s etc.

At R&V we have launched our annual Christmas specials menu including goodies like grazing boards, mince pies, fig & goats cheese parcels and of course the all-important pigs in blankets! Mix and match buffet items to create your perfect seasonal offering with us suited to your budget. We would love to be part of your festive celebrations so get in touch now for a bespoke Christmas menu for your office party or meeting!
